Ranked No. 5 in the BCS standings going into the weekend, the USC Trojans’ chances of a national championship were dealt a blow courtesy of the No. 10 Oregon Ducks.
The Ducks more than covered as 3.5-point home ‘dogs, hammering USC by a final of 47-20 on Saturday night.
The win allowed Oregon to shoot up two spots to eight in this week’s BCS standings while the Trojans dropped all the way down to the 12-spot.
The Ducks face more Pac-10 opposition this week as they play the Stanford Cardinal and are 5.5-point road favorites.
